The Blue Ox Avail is definitely one of the more heavy duty tow bars that we offer here at etrailer, and there's not a whole lot of frills that come with this one as far as cable management, but overall this is a really heavy duty, solid tow bar that will last you a long time. And one of the best part about it is, it's going to be a non-binding tow bar. And what that simply means is when your arms extend while towing, that's what they're supposed to do. But when you go to unhook, sometimes that's when it gets tricky. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Swagman ESPEC two bike platform rack for your electric bikes and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2020 Jayco Redhawk Motorhome. So the ESPEC is really popular because it has that great weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike. Awesome for those who have electric bikes. Now there are some downsides too, like it does make it a bit more of a hassle to load your bikes up because of its free mount as well as lifting your bikes up onto the rack can be tricky. So we're gonna talk about all those things right here in this video. The first thing I wanna talk about though is your clearance, because most bike racks with the Redhawk will have some issues with clearance if you have long handlebars. more

Hey, it's Ed here and we're taking a look at our Curt Cargo Basket on the back of our 2020 Jayco Redhawk. All right, so one of the reasons that you may want a cargo carrier along with your RV is space is at a premium on the inside. So some of your bulkier items, you can transport on the rear of your vehicle using a cargo basket, and taking a closer look at our cargo carrier, the dimensions are 20" by 59". This is constructed of steel and it's powder coated. It's pretty thick powder coating finish on it, feels okay. You also have these solid bar for you to tie down using a cargo net or straps depending on what you're carrying. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris MHS 2 Bike Platform Rack right here on our 2020 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome. So this bike rack is actually gonna be one of my recent favorite bike rack's for motorhomes and RVs. It has that great weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike. Has a lot of stability of the bike on the rack and its RV compatible. So when you're looking at bike racks for E-bikes for your motorhome, usually you're gonna have to deal with a lot of extra levers and straps and knobs but this is a dual wheel mount rack that makes it a lot easier to get your bike on and off the rack. Plus you have some extra features that may help out with that compared to other bike racks we have to do a lot of heavy lifting. more

If you're familiar with the Kuat Piston series of bike racks, you know that they have this really cool piston system where it secures your bike by the front and the rear wheel, and it looks really cool. Another thing to this is a great weight capacity. Now, we have the hitch adapter with the SR right now. So if this was on a vehicle, you'd have 100 pound weight capacity for your bike. more

Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar Installation - 2024 Jayco Greyhawk Motorhome- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Alpha 2 tow bar on a 2024 Jayco Greyhawk. Now there's five main components required when flat towing a vehicle. And starting on the vehicle side, the first thing is gonna be the base plate and that's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle or a structural part of the vehicle that's gonna allow you to attach the rest of the components and safely tow it down the road. Now connected to the arms on our base plate is gonna be our tow bar, and this is the connection point between the hitch on the RV and the towed vehicle. On our base plate, we also have these loops for safety chains, which is gonna be one of the components. So in case of a disconnect, you still have those chains holding onto the towed vehicle. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Yakima OnRamp bike rack. And we're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2020 Jayco Redhawk motor home. So the OnRamp is pretty popular with motor homes because it has an included ramp attached to the rack which is pretty impressive and it does have a heavy weight capacity except for when it is on your motor home. Since it sits further away compared to when it's on a car there's gonna be a lot more movement there. So the weight capacity is gonna go down to 40 pounds per bike. So for your lighter e-bikes this is still gonna be good, for the heavier e-bikes, just really double check that weight. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer and today we have the Flint Hill Goods compact steel cargo carrier and we're gonna take a look at how it fits on a 2020 Jayco Redhawk motor home. If you are looking for a way to expand your cargo capacity on your motor home, then a hitch cargo carrier is actually a very popular option, because if your items are maybe larger, bulkier, heavier, it would be easier to put it here on the back than it is to find a spot for it on the inside. Now, if you are looking for a cargo carrier though, something to be mindful of with your motor home is that your cargo carrier is gonna be sitting further out back compared to if it was on a car. So I do ask you to be really careful about making sure everything is evenly distributed and that you have enough weight capacity. And if you notice there's a bit of movement, to reinforce your carrier. There's also the RV bumper carrier that is available as an option for your Redhawk, if you notice you have this nice bumper, and that will be a bit more reinforced and give you more stability. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the DeeMaxx Disc Brakes on our 2015 JAYCO Pinnacle Fifth Wheel Trailer. Now, the biggest reason why you would wanna swap over to a set of disc brakes, rather than your standard drum brakes, on a rig like we have here is because you need a little bit more stopping power. Drum brakes do an okay job of bringing your camper and your truck to a full stop. But as you'll see later on in this video it takes much longer, because the drum brakes is such an old style of applying the brakes in a trailer. Disc brakes are going to provide a much more sound stop. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Adco RV windshield cover for your Class C motor homes. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2019 Jayco Redhawk motor home. It is designed to be an upgrade from those universal fit things that go over your windshield, and that way you have the coverage for almost all of the windshield and you're able to protect it from the elements as well as keep your interior cool. This is something most people use if maybe they're parked for about a month, or at the campground you're gonna be there for weeks, but you're not exactly ready to cover your entire RV, just the windshield, you can set this one up real quick. This is gonna be made of a very durable vinyl material, which is great because you want it to last even when it's sitting outside and in the elements. Now this is gonna be a bike rack that a lot of people are interested in if you wanna carry around multiple bikes without taking up a lot of space or a lot of money. This is gonna be a really sturdy rack for its entry level price point. And you have a lot of versatility there for bikes' different shapes and sizes. Now, what it is not though is it's not an electric bike rack, it only has a 35 pound per bike weight capacity. And you do have to be mindful that when you have it on your motor home, while it is motor home rated there will be a little bit more movement behind your motor home versus behind a car. more

So something to be mindful of is that if you want to expand your cargo capacity, maybe you're coming back from a trip, you have muddy, sandy items, and you don't wanna have to cram them into your motorhome, getting a hitch-mounted cargo carrier might be an option for you. Now, this specific one though is gonna be a compact, so it doesn't have as much surface area, but it technically has the same amount of weight capacity as other cargo carriers. more

Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers Installation - 2014 Jayco Pinnacle Fifth Wheel- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with the etrailer, and today we gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for tandem axle trailers, here on a 2014 Jayco Pinnacle Fifth Wheel Trailer. These heavy duty gas shocks are filled with nitrogen and what that's gonna do is help eliminate your trailers bouncing, chucking and porpoising. So when you're going over those bumpy roads you're seeing your wheels kind of flop up and down, you're getting a whole lot of vibration all the way up through your truck, and it kinda throw off your handling while you're towing as well. So it can be kind of an issue safety-wise, it's gonna help eliminate some of that and then also limit the amount of motion your trailer can go because the compression is only gonna go so far in and then so far out with the shocks. And what that's gonna do is help all that side to side movement, your up and down movement and then also your front to back movement, so that you're not getting all of that motion traveling through your trailer and then up into the tow vehicle. This is a completely bolt on installation. more

etrailer RV Bumper Cargo Carrier Installation - 2023 Jayco Alante Motorhome- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with "etrailer." Today on our 2023 Jayco Alante Motor Home we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how the etrailer bumper mounted cargo carrier fits. Now there's gonna be a couple different size options here. The one we have installed today is the 24 by 64 inch version, but you can also get it in 24 by 84 if you want something longer or 24 by 60 or 24 by 40 if you want a smaller version. Now, personally, I think this is the ideal size for your motor home though because as it sits right now we're not gonna be blocking our license plate only a little bit on the edge but nothing too crazy. We're not interfering with our ladder over on the other side and like we'll see later this is a folding cargo carrier so when it's empty like this, it can fold it up against the motor home for easy storage. more

MORryde X-Factor Crossmember Installation - 2014 Jayco Pinnacle Fifth Wheel- Video
Hey guys, it's Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember for LRE, RE and TRE Trailer Leave Suspension Systems here on our 2014 Jayco Pinnacle Fifth Wheel Trailer. A lot of trailers today are built pretty much as cheaply as possible, so when it comes to the trailer frame itself, you will start to see a lot of warping over time, especially when you're going down bumpy roads. It starts to kind of bend or twist that trailer frame. And what that ends up doing is wearing more on your tires, more on your suspension, especially if you start to make tight turns. It can also kind of give you a little bit of trailer sway just because there's not that much support put into your frame. So MORryde came up with the X-Factor Crossmember, which is a giant beam that's gonna run between your hangers or through your equalizers like ours today will do, and it's gonna shore up the foundation of your frame and give you more strength and kind of take out that sway that you'll kind of get between the two different beams of your frame. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we'll be showing you how to install the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember for standard hangers, here on our 2014 Jayco Pinnacle 5th wheel trailer. Trailer frames definitely aren't as strong as we'd like them to be. There tends to be quite a bit of bend in them, especially when you make sharp turns. You'll kind of see you'll flex a little bit side to side. So what this is going to do is it's going to strengthen from beam to beam. It's gonna give you a little bit extra support. more

So this is going to be a bike rack that's designed for use on motor homes, campers, fifth wheels or in this case our motor home. It's going to be a platform style rack that holds the bike in these cradles and primarily by our frame up top with a frame hook. Because it makes frame contact, it's not the best for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes are gonna need a bike adapter bar to make sure this hook has something good to grab onto and keep it secure. Aside from that, it's going to be designed for use with e-bikes. more

You do have to get a bike rack that's motor home approved because it's tested to different standards and just a typical passenger car and this one is very sturdy. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Jayco Alante Motorhome- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Premium Hanging-Style Bike Rack on the back of our 2023 Jayco Alante Motor Home. Now, like I said, it's gonna be a hanging-style bike rack capable of holding up to four bikes. And what makes the CURT Premium unique is the design of the arms. You can see at the very end here, the arms narrowed together so they're a lot closer together. This is gonna make it more accommodating for kids' bikes because those smaller frames typically have a hard time fitting over the dual arm design of most hanging style racks, so it reduces the need to get a bike adapter bar. more

MORryde StepAbove RV Steps Installation - 2022 Jayco Eagle HT Fifth Wheel- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with Etrailer and today I'll be showing you how to install the Morryde step above RV steps here on our 2022 JCO Eagle HT fifth wheel. The Morryde quad steps here have a nice aluminum step so that it's gonna resist rust and corrosion so it's gonna have a longer lifespan on it. The frame itself's made out of steel and also powder coated. If you look at the steps, they have a nice tread on 'em. And then also this non-slip tape that goes across 'em. And that's gonna help keep this from being too slick if it's raining or maybe it's a little bit icy in the morning when you get out. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today I'll be showing you how to install the MORryde Safe-T-Rail here on our 2022 Jayco Eagle HT fifth wheel trailer. So the great thing about this Safe-T-Rail is that it gives you the full range of your steps. So when you're at the ground, you can easily grab onto it and get your way up into your camper. Now with our standard factory ones that come with it, it's really only gonna come out just to the edge of that first step. So you're not gonna have any railing at all when you're coming up here. So if you have little kids coming in and out of your camper there's a good chance that they could accidentally trip and fall off of the steps and hurt themselves. more

Wheel Masters 4-Hose Inflation Kit Installation - 2022 Jayco Alante Motorhome- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Wheel Masters valve extender kit here on our 2022 Jayco Alante motorhome. If you find it hard to air up the inner tire on your dual wheel rig, the valve extender is gonna be the right option for you. This is going to allow you to easily run that hose up into that rear tire and then have it mount out on your hub, that way you can easily access it without having to really bend down and get into those hand holes or fight all these tight little bends that might be in there or anything else that, kind of, just gets in the way and prevents you from being able to easily air up your tires. These kits come in a variety of different sizes depending on the diameter of your wheel, so you're gonna wanna make sure that you measure your wheel first and then check out our fit guide and figure out exactly what size is correct for you. It also does come with a few different types of bends, so if you look at our inner one right here, it has 135 degree bend, that way it makes it a little bit easier to come out. Obviously that's not gonna be the same for every single option out there, so there are other degrees that you can get to make it fit your rig how you need it to. more

Now, the SuperClamp is a platform style bike rack, holding the bike in these wheel cradles by the wheels. We've got three points of contact, two straps over the top of the frame holding it down into these cradles here and then a third strap around the seat post limiting our side to side movement, helping with bike to bike contact. Now, what are some of the reasons we want to increase our suspension or upgrade our suspension If you ever been in a Motorhome at all, you get a cross wind, vehicle passing you, you get a lot of body roll. Adding suspension enhancement on top of putting a rear sway bar, front sway bar, and steering stabilizer on, suspension enhancement is gonna help support your suspension up, and make your ride a little bit more comfortable when you're going down the road, maybe you're making sharp turns or you have to make a quick maneuver. It's not gonna allow your vehicle to lean as much. more

Hi there, Jayco owners. Today, on our 2020 Jayco Redhawk, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the tire inflation kit. And this is for dual wheels and this set is gonna work for both the driver and passenger side. This hose extension kit's gonna be great to take the difficult to access rear wheel inflation valves on your rear tires and bringing them out here to the edge of the hubcap. So that way you have easy access to both the outer and inner tire, so you can make sure that they're topped up. It comes with a nice steel braided hosing to protect it, match your rims, look nice on your vehicle, and also to last a long time. more

Hi, there Jayco owners. Today, on your 2020 Jayco Redhawk, we're going to be taking a looking at and showing you how to replaced the rear sway bar with one from Roadmaster. And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. This is going to be a direct replacement for your factory sway bar. You'll get a brand new bar, new bushings, caps, end links, as well as most of the hardware. You will be reusing the cap bolts here but for the rest of it, it's all gonna be new. more
